CWRCA encourages car owners to act windshield issues ASAP
The California Windshield Repair Contractors Association (CWRCA) is encouraging vehicle owners to prioritize the repair of their car windshield issues to prevent accidents and an even bigger repair expense.
In a local media interview, CWRCA President Jacob Taylor says it is important for car owners to be aware of the repercussions of addressed windshield issues and that every crack or chip should be given appropriate attention.
“A small chip or crack could easily progress into huge cracks that could become a safety risk. It could also turn a simple windshield repair problem into a full blown need for a windshield replacement,” Taylor explains.
Safewindshields.org explains the crucial role a windshield plays in ensuring the safety of the driver and all his passengers.
“The windshield provides a significant amount of strength to the structural support in the cabin of the vehicle. For instance, in a front end collision the windshield provides up to 45% of the structural integrity of the cabin of the vehicle and in a rollover, up to 60%.”
